The book al-Ibaanah was written by
al-Ash'ari whilst in Baghdad at the very end of his life, as all the combined evidence shows. There are concrete pieces of evidence that establish this. Just as there are evidences to show that
al-Ash'ari migrated from his Kullaabi stage to adopting the
aqidah of
Imaam Ahmad. This poses a huge problem for the contemporary
Jahmiyyah posing as followers of Abu al-Hasan
al-Ash'ari. As such, numerous approaches have been taken in order to discredit this book in terms of its authorship (and the intent behind it), ascription, and contents. This series looks at these claims. It is advised that you read this series from the very beginning in order to maintain the context and flow.
